Largely because of DFW International Airport, one of the
aviation industry’s largest hubs, as well as multiple general
aviation airports -- not to mention its central location -North Texas has more and more companies wanting to
relocate to the growing Metroplex area. DFW Airport ranks
third in passenger traffic and 11th in freight, and American
Airlines is headquartered at DFW. Dallas Love Field Airport is
headquarters to Southwest Airlines and provides passenger

and cargo services throughout the U.S. and Caribbean. Fort
Worth Alliance Airport is the country’s first airport designed
to support industrial operations, including FedEx, UPS and
56 other carriers. And, many aircraft and aircraft equipment
manufacturers are also based in North Texas -- Lockheed
Martin Aeronautics Company, Bell Helicopter, Eurocopter,
Vought, Aviall, Labinal and Boeing all have operations in the
area. Fortunately, they all have the space to grow.
