According to the American Association
of Railroads, combined North American
rail volume for the first 36 weeks of 2014 on
13 reporting U.S., Canadian and Mexican
railroads totaled 13,829,706 carloads, up
3.1 percent compared with the same point
in 2013, and 11,663,458 intermodal containers
and trailers, up 5.9 percent compared
with 2013.
All that means growing demand for
capabilities easily available in North Texas to
businesses here and around the world.
Tom Harris, president of Alliance Air/Aviation Services for Hillwood Properties, sees
that growth first-hand as he helped develop
the first piece of the AllianceTexas area, Alliance Airport, and now sees
