Spotlight on north texas apogee stadium Self-Sustaining stadium Apogee Stadium, on the campus of the University of North Texas in Denton, is the first LEED Platinum collegiate football stadium in the world. The 31,000-seat stadium opened in 2011 and features various forms of environmental innovation, while providing a top-notch venue for Mean Green football games.
