the reasons companies are flocking to the
North Texas region to do business. DallasFort Worth currently has the fourth-largest
number of corporate headquarters in the
country, and is home to 18 Fortune 500 and
44 Fortune 1000 companies. The area has
emerged as one of the world’s leading
hubs for commerce, and its diverse base of
employers drives the region’s economic
strength, pulling from a variety of
Fluor’s corporate headquarters, Irving, Texas
burgeoning industries so that growth
remains, even in downward business cycles.
Texas continues to lead the U.S. in
economic, post-recession recovery. And
over the past several years, North Texas in
particular has benefitted from an influx of
business activity – becoming a magnet for
corporate headquarters and company
expansions, which have successfully
generated jobs, investment and economic
growth for the region.
AT&T, Fluor, GE Transportation and
Comerica Bank are four such companies
that now call DFW home, and while reflecting
on the area’s strong fundamentals when it
comes to workforce, access and cost
of doing business, each agrees that there
has never been a better time to move to
