A review of Solar Energy Technology and its Economic Viability
Abstract
This paper analyses key aspects of the solar technology industry on a global and country specific
level. It looks at the need for solar technology within the current climate change crisis, as well as the
physical and financial mechanics that govern the solar industry. Taking examples from the UK and
across the globe, it goes on to determine that solar technology has a key role to play as a highly
efficient and cost effective renewable energy technology.
