Every single one of us is connected with each other in our own way. We influence each other wether we like it or not. It is a universal understanding that we as humans desire for companionship emphasized by the saying that no man is an island. Therefore, we are bound by this duty to connect and bond with our fellow men. The urge for camaraderie and friendship is stronger than the compulsion to be alone. That is why it is very important that we should develop our society, and more importantly our community.

HELP OTHERS

VOLUNTEER

Looking back, I sort of miss having fieldwork. I wouldn’t mind having another one, in all honesty. Yes, I’d act like it was a total hassle and a pain in the butt, but you know. I wouldn’t really mind. Helping out is fun, and helping people is even better. I remember how our professor told us that they’d write our contribution down: with the help of the students of UST-CWTS-CPHA1, or something like that. One small inscription in the midst of others, but still there nevertheless. If I was given the chance to help out again I would take it, no matter how small that impact may be.

Our work may look insignificant, but these little actions can make a big change. If only all of us would help for the common good and lessen our selfishness, our world would be in a better place. But in reality these kinds of problems are inevitable, therefore we can only help by preventing ourselves in contributing with the destructions that we humans do and have the initiative to take actions and make a change.

I am glad that I chose CWTS as my NSTP. It has helped me in reaching out to other people and realize that everyone should extend a hand to the less fortunate. I thank NSTP for all the life lessons that I learned during our fieldworks.
