THANK YOU!
At the North Texas Food Bank, we believe that nourished
people create communities that flourish and thrive. This
belief fuels our work to feed the more than 800,000 food
insecure people who are our neighbors here in North
Texas.
Research tells us that hunger is a pervasive problem. We
know that 1 out of every 6 people in our region is food
insecure. These hard-working people are struggling to
make ends meet and living with an empty stomach. These
are our neighbors, families from our community of faith
and people we interact with every single day.
We take pride in providing for our community and fighting
the good fight on behalf of those who need it most —
hungry children, seniors and families. It is because of
our generous board of directors, staff members, donors,
volunteers and advocates that we are able to support
those who come to us in their time of need.
In an effort to combat increasing food insecurity, NTFB
announced an innovative, bold and scalable ten-year
plan to provide access to 92 million meals annually by
2025. This initiative represents the current need for food
assistance in our 13-county service area, a nearly 50
percent increase over the Food Bank’s distribution output.
It is because of you that we are closer to making this plan
a reality. Thank you for your support in providing access to
more than 70 million nutritious meals annually for hungry
children, seniors and families in North Texas — read on to
find out how your gifts made a difference for our hungry
neighbors.
