Page 26 Northern Territory Department of Education DRIVING QUALITY RECRUITMENT TEGIC P Our Strategic Workforce Plan 2016–2018 outlines how we are working towards achieving our three key priorities: • attracting and recruiting the right people • developing our staff, and retaining •  supporting and valuing our staff. We implemented a range of recruitment strategies and programs to ensure that we attract and recruit the right people to deliver high-quality education to children in the Northern Territory. We implemented key initiatives and fostered Y A O C TI partnerships to attract and recruit new teachers to teach in Northern Territory government schools. A high-performing education system relies on quality leadership, quality staff and maintaining high expectations and standards in all schools, non-school workplaces and early childhood and care services. Recruiting, developing and retaining quality staff across all parts of the department is essential for delivering high-quality education services and improving educational outcomes for students.
