Buddy Basketball
Get ready to join the team as we head to the gym for a
game of basketball! We will pair up with our buddies as we
challenge our friends to an exciting game. Each week, we
will warm up with our team, practice and play a game. Note:
Buddy Basketball is not a competitive program. Participants should
come dressed in athletic clothing and gym shoes.
Goals: Improve understanding and basic skills of basketball. Increase social
interaction. Improve teamwork.

Buddies: We need you!
We are looking for volunteers ages 10 - 17 ready to share in the fun and
excitement that is Buddy Basketball. As a buddy, you will be paired with an
athlete with special needs as he or she learns to play basketball. Help us
create a program where everyone can have fun, and experience basketball
in an exciting and successful atmosphere. While there is no fee for buddies,
you must register to be a buddy. Please arrive at 4:45 pm on January 7
to receive program and participant details.

Music Speaks
Get ready to rock to the beat of your own drum! This is the program we have all been waiting for! Music Speaks is led by a Board Certified Music Therapist
(MT-BC). It might sound just like fun and games, but music and rhythm interventions also address physical, cognitive, communication, social and emotional
aspects. Various instruments will be used during program. No musical skill or background is needed to be successful in a music therapy session. A
snack will be given at the start of program. Music therapy will be provided from 4:30 - 5:30 pm.
Goals: Develop an understanding and appreciation of music. Encourage positive self-expression. Increase exposure to a variety of musical rhythms and
instruments.

Crocodiles
During this swim program, we will introduce basic swim techniques including stroke development, kicking and water safety. This program is intended for
participants who are still being oriented to the water and swimming techniques. Participants must NOT be able to swim one lap of the pool. Please
bring a labeled swimsuit and towel.
Goals: Feel comfortable in the water. Develop a basic understanding of swimming techniques. Increase ability to follow demonstrated one and two step
directions. Increase water safety awareness.
