Youth Programs Rec N' Roll Wednesdays: Kitchen Creations (New!) Grab your apron and your chef hat! Time to channel your inner chef and see what creations will come! We will learn about kitchen safety and how to follow recipes. Get ready to measure, slice, mix and cook up some healthy dishes. We will make our own recipe book over the course of the season so you can take home your favorite culinary masterpieces. Goals: Increase kitchen safety. Learn basic cooking skills. Practice healthy eating. Date: Wednesdays, January 9 - February 27 Program Code/Fee: 198200-03 / $217 Thursdays: Splash Squad Time to make a splash! At 3:45 pm, the group will head over to Recreation Center of Highland Park to take a dip in the pool. Participants will enjoy having fun in the pool with peers! We will play a variety of water games and group exercises each week that incorporate physical activity, social games and free swim time in the water. Please bring a labeled swimsuit and towel. No program January 24. Goals: Increase social interaction and cooperation. Enhance confidence in the water. Improve gross motor skills and physical fitness through water play.
