Lunch After Event
Funds raised through the SWING Golf Outing create opportunities for NSSRA participants,
providing scholarships for children, teens and adults with disabilities who participate in
NSSRA’s year-round recreation activities. Additionally, funds provide a significant contribution
to the NSSRA Foundation Transportation Fund. In 2018, NSSRA Foundation granted over
$46,000 in scholarships to participants and provided the funds for NSSRA to purchase Oscar,
a new bus. NSSRA’s buses provided participants with over 15,000 rides. The Foundation
also sponsored two special events, Shining Stars Banquet and Summer Bash, allowing 800+
individuals to attend at a free or reduced rate.
