Buddy Sports Sampler (New!) Each week we will gear up and hit the field as we learn a new and exciting team sport! We will review the basics, warm up with our teammates, practice and then play a friendly game together. Note: Buddy Sports Sampler is not a competitive program. Participants should come dressed in athletic clothing and gym shoes. Goals: Develop skills and an understanding of a variety of team sports. Foster social interaction and teamwork. Buddies: We need you! We are looking for volunteers age 10 - 17 ready to share in the fun and excitement that is Buddy Sports! As a buddy, you will be paired with an athlete with special needs as he or she learns to play a variety of team sports. Help us create a program where everyone can have fun and experience sports in an exciting and successful atmosphere. While there is no fee for buddies, you must register to be a buddy. Buddies will meet Tuesday, June 11, the week before program, for orientation. Buddies will learn about the participants and receive program details.
