All Star Athletes (New!)
Hop off your couch, it’s time to get moving! Join us each week to build our skills in sports and competitive play. We will have fun with a variety of activities
and games designed to enhance our knowledge and success in many different sports. Whether you’re looking to stay active or have a good time with friends,
this is the program for you!
Goals: Increase socialization and peer interaction. Improve skills needed for a variety of sports. Promote involvement in sports, physical activity and wellness.

Gator Bocce
Come try your hand at bocce! Gator Bocce is for athletes of all skill and experience levels. Gator athletes will learn the
rules of bocce as well as different strategies that can be applied during competition. Note: During the first week,
athletes will take a Skills Assessment Test to gain eligibility for Special Olympics Illinois competitions. All
Gator athletes must have a current Special Olympics Medical Application for Participation on file to compete in bocce. No program August 20,
September 3 and September 10.
Save the dates! The Special Olympics district bocce competition is Sunday, October 14, and for those who qualify, the Special Olympics Illinois State
Summer Games are in June 2019.
Goals: Enhance upper extremity gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination through throwing the ball. Enhance attention and concentration by targeting a
point. Learn bocce rules and skills. Improve problem solving and decision making skills through competitions.

Out & About (New!)
Let’s get "out and about" and explore our town! The group will load the bus at 3:45 pm and head out to hit all the community hot spots. Each week, the
group will go on a new adventure in the community. If you like to experience new things around town, then this is the program for you!
