District 34: Backpack Bandicoots (New Name!) Formerly Hoffman HeyDay Registration Deadline: Friday, April 24 Join NSSRA for some camp fun this summer! Backpack Bandicoots provides recreation opportunities for students who attend District 34's summer school session in a community setting after summer school. Campers will experience a variety of activities including sports, games, swimming, arts, outdoor fun, leisure, community outings and more! Campers will engage socially with their peers and staff as well as explore new interests. This program meets Monday - Thursday only. NSSRA will provide registered campers with a t-shirt. Participants are required to bring a lunch and drink each day. A detailed schedule will be mailed home prior to camp. Goals To provide campers with recreation and leisure activities during the summer months. Activities will focus on socialization, independence, motor development, leisure education and an overall sense of well-being through participation. Open House Information regarding the open house will be communicated to campers and parents. The open house provides an opportunity to ask questions, get daily activity schedules and learn more about camp. Transportation Parents will be responsible for picking students up at the end of the program. Transportation for outings will be provided by NSSRA.
