NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS NSSRA Under Contract to Purchase Highland Park Synagogue as New Recreation Facility After close to a decade of planning, preparing and searching, we are excited to share that NSSRA is in the final stages of securing our new permanent home, Lakeside Congregation in Highland Park. Lakeside Congegration put their facility on the market last November in preparation for its merger with Congregation Solel, also in Highland Park, this summer. The property is in a great location, central to our communities, and will be a wonderful asset for NSSRA participants and programs. Lakeside Congregation in Highland Park, the future permanent home for NSSRA NSSRA Foundation is thrilled to support this project and will be looking to you in the near future to help accomplish this dream for NSSRA participants. This is a golden opportunity to create a permanent home for NSSRA for years to come, and we are going to need your support to make it happen. Stay tuned throughout the year for updates from NSSRA and NSSRA Foundation on how you can be a part of building a new home for NSSRA. Donate to Our 2020 Shining Stars Dress Drive Help our participants look and feel their best for our 2020 Shining Stars Banquet when we’ll be celebrating our 50th anniversary as an agency! NSSRA is collecting new and gently used cocktail and formal dresses, as well as suit coats and ties, now through April 1, 2020. Join NSSRA's Associate Board If you are a young professional in your twenties or thirties, passionate about serving people with disabilities or giving back to your community, we're looking for you! NSSRA is forming an Associate Board of energized individuals to raise awareness and support of NSSRA's programs and services to the direct benefit of participants. Members of the Associate Board will draw upon their expertise, personal and professional networks, and creativity to provide additional organizational, advocacy and financial support to fulfill the agency’s mission. Details: Dresses, suit coats and ties must be clean and in good condition. We are looking for dresses and suit coats in all shapes and sizes. Donation Locations: Items can be dropped off at the NSSRA office (3105 MacArthur Blvd., Northbrook) or to D&R Autoworks (1454 Old Deerfield Rd, Highland Park). NSSRA will donate any items that cannot be used to a local thrift store.
