Fall 2018 Program Changes
In an unexpected turn of events in early May, NSSRA was notified that the Deerfield Brunswick Zone would be permanently closing
on Sunday, May 6. Thankfully, we have a NEW bowling home-base, Brunswick Zone Hawthorn Lanes in Vernon Hills. As a result of
the location change, several programs have been adjusted or cancelled beginning with our summer program season and carrying
through to fall and beyond. Additionally, we have added new program opportunities to help offset some of the changes.
Special Events, pages 18 - 27: We have added eight additional events, four for youth and four for adults, to provide even more
opportunities to get out and play in our communities!
Crocodiles, page 37: The age range for Crocodiles has been extended, with participants ages 13 - 22 now welcome to register for
Group II.
Gator Bowling, pages 37 and 47: Instead of Saturday mornings, this program now takes place on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30
pm at Brunswick Zone Hawthorn Lanes.
Kids Club, page 40: Kids Club remains on Saturdays beginning at 9:00 am, but now has been extended by 1/2 hour at the end of
program and will run until 12:00 pm.
Teen Club, page 41: Teen Club also remains on Saturdays, but now has been extended by 1/2 hour at the beginning of program
and will run from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
Rolling Pins Bowling Club: Cancelled.
NSSRA Bowling, page 53: Program day and time remains the same (Saturdays from 9:30 - 11:30 am), but now takes place at
Brunswick Zone Hawthorn Lanes.
Strikers (New!), page 54: A new bowling program for adult line-up participants, Strikers will take place on Saturdays from
9:30 - 11:30 am at Brunswick Zone Hawthorn Lanes.
New or adjusted programs are marked throughout this guide with
