Youth Programs Saturday Youth Line-Up Kids Club* Get ready to move during this exciting program filled with active sports, fun games, creative crafts and more. Each week, the group will enjoy playing a new sport and games for an hour of the program. During this time, participants will develop new skills while learning about sports rules. After sports, the group will do cooperative activities and exciting crafts. Note: Lunch will be from 10:45 -11:30 am. Please bring a sack lunch. No microwave or refrigerator will be available. Please dress appropriately for indoor and outdoor activities. Don’t forget to sign-up for Rolling Pins Bowling Club to extend your Saturday! If you are enrolled for both Kids Club and Rolling Pins Bowling Club, transportation will be provided from the program site to the bowling alley. Goals: Promote physical activity and fitness. Develop increased attention to activity and ability to follow directions. Promote team building and sportsmanship with peers. Goals: Increase gross motor coordination. Develop an understanding of bowling techniques including proper grip, approach and follow through. Improve ability to stay on task and take turns. Sign up for just one or more than one to extend your day. Gator Bowling* This program is designed for competitive bowlers. Athletes will focus on techniques to improve their bowling skills. All athletes will be eligible to compete in Special Recreation Association (SRA) events. Bowlers who wish to participate in competitions must register for Gator Bowling and complete a registration form which will be distributed at program. Fee includes bowling and shoe rental. All athletes must have a current Special Olympics Medical Application for Participation on file. Goals: Increase bowling average. Learn competitive skills such as aiming, stance, and approach. Improve balance.
