Gator Powerlifting

Age : 21 and up Min : 4 Location : Blair Park , Lake Bluff
This program is designed for athletes to learn the skills and techniques required to lift competitively . During the first week of the program , athletes will go through a Skills Assessment Test to determine participation in the program for the remainder of the season and gain eligibility for Special Olympics Illinois competitions . Athletes are expected to compete in Special Olympics events and must register for competitions by completing registration forms distributed at the program .
Save the dates ! The Special Olympics District Tournament will be in April ( Date TBD ), and for those who qualify , the Special Olympics Illinois State Summer Games are Friday , June 17 - Sunday , June 19 , 2022 . There will be one no program date ( TBD ) following the Special Olympics District Tournament .

Gator Swim Team

Age : 12 and up Min : 4 Location : Recreation Center of Highland Park
We designed Gator Swim Team for lap swimmers who want to compete . Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool without assistance or stopping to rest . Gator athletics emphasize sportsmanship , fundamentals , and rules of the sport . During the first week , athletes will take a Skills Assessment Test to determine participation in the program for the remainder of the season and gain eligibility for Special Olympics Illinois competitions .
Save the Dates ! Special Olympics District Swimming Tournament at Lake Forest College will be held March 19 , 2022 , and for those that qualify , the Special Olympics Illinois State Summer Games are Friday , June 17 - Sunday , June 19 , 2022 .
