Time to make a splash ! Join us at the Recreation Center of Highland Park to take a dip in the pool with friends . We will play various water games and group exercises each week that incorporate physical activity , social games , and free swim time . Please come dressed in a labeled swimsuit and bring a towel and a change of clothes .
Goals :

Horseback Riding
Age : 7 and up Min : 3 Location : Equestrian Connection , Lake Forest
Saddle up ! Equestrian Connection is a one-of-a-kind stable that provides therapeutic horseback riding opportunities specifically designed for individuals with special needs . Participants will have three rotations during the program : riding , groundwork , and craft with a snack . During groundwork , participants will learn and practice grooming techniques . Please note that riding time is 20 minutes each week . A waiver will be sent before the program and must be returned to the NSSRA office by Tuesday , January 4 . Participants over 250 pounds will do groundwork with horses instead of riding as a safety precaution for all . For participants with physical and medical conditions , please use caution .
Goals :
» Increase flexibility and range of motion while on the horse .
» Gain self-confidence and a sense of control through stable skills .
» Develop companionship with the horse and a sense of responsibility .
