Our next stop was the YOYO Local Products Store, which offers a variety of snacks. Everyone was so
excited and came out of the store with at least a bag filled with shopping items.
Before we headed to the next location, our tour guide had taken orders for the famous Xiao Mei Otah and
assorted flavours of Muah Chee, which meant we had more food to bring home.
We had the pleasure of stopping over at Foo Chow Noodle Home Factory to observe how noodles were
made. One of the participants even had a hands-on experience on how to pound the noodle dough. A
short walk from the noodle factory was another stopover for more snack-shopping.
By then, everyone was hungry so we headed down to have our fair share of durians. Everyone quickly
tucked in to the delicious durians which had luscious fruit and of course, there were no leftovers. In fact,
almost all the participants brought home some durians.
We left the durian place feeling satiated and boarded the bus for more shopping at Mid Valley South Key
Shopping Mall before meeting up to have our dinner at Pekin Restaurant. We also took the opportunity to
celebrate a participant’s birthday.
Once everyone had their tummies filled, we made our way back to NSRCC. Our heartiest thanks to all
the participants who went on this trip, and also to our driver Damien and tour guide JJ, who made it a
smooth trip.
