ear 2019 is soon coming to a close and it has yet again been a very busy golfing year for NSRCC.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Greens Committee as well as the golfing staff
for having tirelessly planned, organised and hosted a plethora of golfing events for both NSRCC
Changi and Kranji. These events include the club’s match and stroke play events, President’s Trophy, SAF
and NS Day Golf, Captain’s Cup and not forgetting our prestigious annual Charity Golf.
Some notable achievements for the club this year include: Team NSRCC finishing as Overall Runner-Up
in the SGA Inter-Club League 2019 with a score of 24 points. For individual divisions, NSRCC was the
Champion of Men’s A Division, and Runner-Up in three Divisions: Men’s Premier, Men’s B and Men’s
Senior.
In an edition of RV two years ago, I mentioned in Greenside Matters about the construction of the 5-storey
“one-of-its-kind” driving range in Singapore and the first in Southeast Asia. Two years later, the Club
proudly unveiled the Sky Range to our members and public with NSRCC Club President, LG Melvyn Ong
gracing the grand opening on Sep 7. As planned, this range is complemented with two Golf Academies,
Club Fitting Services and a panoramic view while you practise your swing.
