Hy

T
he bowling shoes at NSRCC Resort Bowl
now undergo sanitisation daily, and this
is made possible by the addition of two
new smart shoe cabinets. This improvement
was introduced to provide a more comfortable
bowling experience for our members and guests.
Each cabinet uses ozone and UV technology to
eliminate bacteria and fungus from the shoes that
are stored in them. It also has activated carbon
which absorbs shoe odours and temperature
control to eliminate moisture, mould and mildew.

Bowling shoes ready for
their sanitisation cycle
A cabinet can fit 12 to 18 pairs of shoes at once
(depending on the size), and it takes about 1.5
hours to complete one sanitisation cycle. When a
sanitisation cycle ends, the shoes are taken out,
tagged with labels indicating that they have been
sanitised, then placed at the usual shoe cabinet.
Another batch of shoes are then stored in the
smart shoe cabinet for the next sanitisation cycle.
With this process, all of the almost 200 pairs of
bowling shoes at Resort Bowl can be sanitised in
one day.
