Facebook Rony Li started working at NSRCC Changi as a Course Marshal in 2008. He reports to work daily with an aim in mind – to ensure smooth play for all flights at NSRCC Changi. @NationalServiceResort AndCountryClub During slow play, he will approach golfers professionally and courteously to seek their cooperation to bridge the gap with the front flight. It’s never an easy task as some golfers will get nervous when confronted by course marshals and some can be difficult to manage. He was appointed Chief Marshal two years ago and his motto for his team is to carry out their duties with diplomacy to provide pleasure for all golfers. Rony adds: “Misunderstandings can happen but most importantly, as marshals we have to stay positive on our job and start everyday by telling ourselves that today will be a happy day.” Budiman Masoud started out as a lifeguard at NSRCC Changi in March 1997. “I didn’t know what to expect working here in NSRCC back then. But now, with colleagues who understand each other and work hand in hand, I know why I choose to work in NSRCC,” he shared. He is currently managing the tasks of a pool supervisor. Budiman still performs lifeguard duties but is also responsible for managing daily pool operations. Say hello to him whenever you see him around the Club! RESORT VIEW 21
