The Editor Speaks Dear Members We are into the first week of the re-opening of the Club post Circuit Breaker as I write this and it's really nice to see many of you engaging in your favourite club activities with your families and friends again. Welcome back! Whether you are golfing, bowling, swimming or dining, do remember to keep yourself and those around you safe by adhering to the safety measures that have been implemented across all club facilities for your protection. After nine years as Club Captain, Mr Tan Kah Han has passed the baton to BG (RET) Winston Toh. In his time, Mr Tan has been involved in key projects that has helped to shape the strategic vision and physical development of NSRCC. BG (RET) Toh takes over after having served as Vice Captain and as a member of the Changi Management Committee. Humbly describing himself as a social golfer who has yet to achieve the elusive hole-in-one, our new Captain says one of his aims is to enhance the experience of golfing members. As golfers eagerly return to hit the fairways after the long hiatus, our newly appointed Vice Captain Brian Tan, takes another look at the challenges posed by the two index 1 holes: Hole #11 at Changi and Hole #3 at Kranji. You may find his piece useful as a quick refresher on the intricacies of the layout of these two holes that have been known to trip up even seasoned golfers! For those who prefer to stay at home rather than go to the driving range during this period, Golfing Lab has the perfect solution for you. Practice drills to hone the key parts of the golf swing that can be done in the comfort and privacy of one's bedroom. Try it out and see if it works for you. It is always a pleasure to shine the spotlight on our award-winning frontline service staff and our heartiest congratulations go to the following for winning the Overall Top Service Excellence Awards for 2019/2020: Adeline Ng (CSO, Driving Range), Low Hai Meng (Security Officer), Siti Aishah Shahrir (Senior CSO, Kranji Golf) and Victor Chia (CSO, Resort Bowl). After the long break, are you all set to re-discover all that the Club has to offer? Enjoy! Regards, Chua Swee Kiat Editor RESORT VIEW 3
