Dear Members

With the new year comes a clean slate , a fresh beginning , a new dawn . Whatever you choose to call it , it is clear that most of us are glad and probably rather relieved to see the end of a challenging year that was 2020 . The traditional year-end celebrations to usher in 2021 in Singapore and elsewhere may be muted because of the ongoing COVID-19 social restrictions but the screamingly loud wish in everyone ’ s mind has to be : let this be a much better year !
For Resort View the fresh beginning literally takes the form of a modest makeover , with the intention of making the cover and inside pages look hopefully brighter and more inviting to you , the reader . We hope that you like the new look .
Appropriately , food and feasting take centre stage during this time of the year and in this issue we shine the spotlight on the exciting dining options available in NSRCC . Our intrepid food reviewer , Mike Neo , checks out the high altitude offerings of Sky Bistro at Changi while Sheena Anne-Marie introduces Fairway Cafe @ Kranji ’ s new chef and menu .
We also feature the game of golf from three different perspectives . Vice Captain Brian Tan discusses the best ways to play the two starting holes at Changi , Coach Paul Finch suggests practising the game under pressure and how to do it while Senior Foreman Foo Keh Seong tells us about his work in course maintenance . Three different individuals with one common aim : to make your golfing experience in NSRCC a hugely pleasurable one .
