ow time flies! It seems not too long ago when we were welcoming 2019 and in a flash of an eye we
are bidding goodbye to it and welcoming 2020! This year’s Lunar New Year also falls in the month
of January, thus I would like to wish all members a Happy New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai!
2020 will usher in the year of the Golden Rat and the Rat being the first animal of the 12 Chinese zodiac
animals signifies a new cycle and a new beginning which promises new opportunities. I would like to wish
all of you good health and great fortune!
Like every year, the Club Management and Greens Committee have started planning for a suite of golfing
activities for the whole of 2020. One of these exciting events would be our prestigious annual Charity Golf.
Charity Golf 2020 will be held on May 16 and 17 at NSRCC Changi and we will be extending our support
to organisations which care for underprivileged children. Preparations for the event have already started
and the Club is in the midst of selecting the charitable organisations. As always, we hope to see you at
the event to show your support!
Our Club is constantly looking at improving its facilities and has recently added some new improvements
at NSRCC Changi. Those who have been practising at the putting greens and chipping ground near the
Sky Range in the evening, would have noticed the improved illumination of the area. The new initiatives
of illuminating these areas are set to enhance our members’ experience and will allow them to practise
till late.
Other changes include a new sand bunker which is situated behind the Sky Range for members to
practise their distance and bunker shots. Another new feature would be the recently opened buggy path
which goes past the Sky Range all the way to Hole #6.
We do hope that our members are pleased with these new upgrades and look forward to providing a
memorable experience for every visit you make to the Club.
