THE ARTIST I 55
The options to combat this type of situa-
tion can be: create a fashion of your own,
mixing the millions of existing styles to be a
potpourri of brands (always if you have the
attitude to dress them, anything goes). But
sometimes, abstraction from the vortex of
consumerism serves to understand, in itself,
the beauty that exists in the creation of the
human body. Since it can not be beaten by
any winter-summer collection.
The skin is the first and last garment that
the human being knows; beautiful in its
extension, full of imperfections that make
it unique, with textures, shapes, no matter
which part of the body goes with it, it will
always be original. Different people, different
skins.
This can culminate with the most logical
question: If we have unrepeatable skin, why
do we cover it with pre-fabricated elements,
which will never be "unique". What other way
does the human being have to express their
individuality, in front of a mass that is not
very thoughtful and agglomerated?
Replacing thread stitches with small dots
of ink in an organic element and with life
seems to be one of the solutions in the last
40 years (occidental speaking). The tattoo
has always brought with it the idea of indi-
viduality in its concept. Regardless of the
year, aesthetics, or style to analyze. This
means that each person who has a tattoo
can be classified as a unique individual, with
the characteristics that correspond to it.
Fashion has a new glitch, individuality
finally reaches the most common people
giving a universe of options to fill a void that,
falsely, was believed full. The power implies
a responsibility, which must be shared be-
tween two participants: the person who
tattoo and the one who is tattooed.
In this world, cultural barriers have been
torn down by the internet, and the reach of
people on aesthetic and artistic elements is
greater than ever. However, like everything
created by the human, it must always be
pushed to the limit and on the verge of fail-
ure.
Diferentes personas, diferentes pieles.
aglomerada.
fracaso.
