HE 3rd Brigade’s regiment
of engineers is renowned for
delivering fi rst-class construction
and renovation projects in Papua
New Guinea, but this month
they will deliver dresses.
The dresses, sewn by a band of
enthusiastic volunteers at the Kirwan
State High School, will be delivered
to young girls in villages in the PNG
highlands in the name of the Dress
A Girl Around The World charity.
The KSHS dressmakers produced
150 colourful dresses for girls
up to about seven or eight years
old, and, not to leave the boys
out, a similar number of bright,
colourful boxer shorts.
The 3CER engineers are
involved in Exercise Puk Puk,
an annual exercise conducted
in collaboration with the
PNGDF Engineer Battalion.
