He said the unique spirit of Old Faithful was forged
in Korea, then reinforced by distinguished service in
Malaya, Malaysia, Sarawak and South Vietnam.
He said the Battalion must revel in its
past to best create its future.
“Today, we still need men and women ready and
able to stand against tyranny and terror,” he said.
“Thank you for making this choice.
“You are worthy sucessors of the veterans of Kapyong.”
The Battalion marched from the parade ground
singing “Our Director”, much to the delight
of former members in the audience.
