“ We want families to feel welcome , and supported in the Mess ,” LTCOL Payne said . “ It ’ s a place where they can meet and get to know other families , especially during deployments .” To help make the Mess more friendly , they have introduced children ’ s entertainment at the pay Friday functions . The committee is also canvassing options to perhaps provide some level of transport on function nights to help make the Mess a more attractive entertainment option for members and their families .
