LTCOL Follett said occasions like the parade to mark the Battalion ’ s birthday were important to nurture unit identity and teamwork . “ It ’ s important not just because of our history , but also because we need to be able to rapidly form teams and work together in unison ,” she said after the parade . “ We custom-build a response for the job at hand , so that teamwork is essential so things like parades and other ceremonial activities are important to us .” The emphasis on the unit as a team was evident when MC WO2 Justin Pugh announced 3CSSB mascot LCPL Toby Tebiass as he marched onto the parade with handler PTE Megan Hunt . This year , the focus will be even more on unity of purpose amongst members across the unit ’ s 42 different employment categories , as it copes with the inevitable distruption while new lines are built around them . It means the 25th birthday celebrations will put this parade , as spectacular as it was , in the shade .
