DCO Townsville will this weekend conduct its annual Welcome to Townsville Expo at the RSL Stadium in the Murray sporting complex . Aimed at new arrivals , the gathering of service and sporting clubs , local authority stands and organisations offering all the facilities , families , singles and couples look for is a terrific way to get some familiarity with a posting to the city in one location . There is so much information available , many who have been in the city for years will also find it of benefit . It will be held from 10am to 1pm at RSL Stadium on Saturday , February 4 . Admission is free .
RAR dinner
THE RAR
Association NQ will hold its annual dinner on February 25 at the Townsville RSL . Jon Daniels said bookings closed on February 5 , and places were limited . The cost of the dinner is $ 55 a head . Contact him at jon . daniels @ defence . gov . au for further details .
Digger Dollars is back !
IT ’ S back ! Digger Dollars , the iconic competition that has , since September , 2006 , handed out more than $ 40,000 in cash prizes is now online . There ar e no restrictions - anybody , whether they ’ re in uniform or not - can win . They just need to be a Member of NSCnews Online to be in the draw .
