ARCH has been quite busy
with the base visited by
Commander Combat Support
Group, Chief of the Defence
Force, Commander Joint
Operations, Deputy Chief of Air
Force and many more heads of
services including Chief of Navy,
Chief of Army and the Shadow
Minister for Defence Personnel.

F course we have
been preparing to
provide emergency support
to the community due
to Cyclone Debbie.
ur Community engagements
are fairly active as well
with participation in forums
such as the Townsville Defence
Forum and Indigenous Elders
Community briefi ng.
It’s been a very active and
energetic fi rst few months and
my team and I will continue
to support and assist the wider
Townsville community.

espite all of the high profi le
visitors, we continue to
support exercises such as Black
Dagger, which included a visiting
squadron from the US Navy.
The squadron fl ew in with
F18E aircraft and has been very
active, often fl ying in pairs
and making some noise in the
process. However, as always, we
have limited the level of noise
exposure to the minimum.
