TSAC-F OF THE YEAR AWARD
Nominations are complete and we
encourage you to vote for the nominee
you feel is the most deserving of the
new Tactical Strength and ConditioningFacilitator (TSAC-F) of the Year Award.
Voting will begin February 15 and go until
March 1, 2014. The award will be presented
at the TSAC Conference in San Diego, CA
on April 14, 2014.

Kenn with the Carolina Panthers
for winning the first ever Professional
Strength and Conditioning Coach of
the Year Award, Coach Shannon Turley
with Stanford University for winning the
College Strength and Conditioning Coach
of the Year Award, and Coach Caitlin
Quinn with Florida State University for
winning the Assistant College Strength
and Conditioning Coach of the Year Award.

All three of these coaches represent what

REMINDER
The All-American Athlete of the Year
nominations will open February 1, 2014 and
go until March 1, 2014. Please nominate
your outstanding high school and/or
collegiate athletes. Coaches, please be sure

GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
The National Strength and Conditioning
Association (NSCA) Foundation supports
the mission of the NSCA by providing
funding for educational and research
activities that enhance the practical
application of strength and conditioning.
A summary of available grants and
scholarships are below. For complete

Applications are currently being accepting
for the following grants and scholarships:
CHALLENGE SCHOLARSHIP
The Challenge Scholarship is given
to NSCA Members seeking either an
undergraduate or graduate degree in a
strength and conditioning-related field.
HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
This program provides funding to high
school seniors preparing to enter college.
MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is designed to encourage
minorities to enter into the field of strength
and conditioning.
WOMEN’S SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is designed to encourage
women to enter into the field of strength
and conditioning.
GNC® NUTRITIONAL RESEARCH GRANT
GNC® sponsors this nutrition-based
research grant. The purpose of the project
must fall within the mission of the NSCA.
GRADUATE RESEARCH GRANT –
MASTER’S AND DOCTORAL
This grant program funds graduate
research in strength and conditioning that
is consistent with the mission of the NSCA.
INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION
GRANT
The NSCA International Collaboration Grant
has been established to solicit creative
proposals to facilitate collaboration among
an American-based colleague and an
international colleague. Applicants can
apply to visit one or multiple international
colleagues or propose to host one or
multiple international colleagues in support
of the proposed project.
SENIOR INVESTIGATOR GRANT
This grant program funds full-time faculty
members in a senior faculty position at the
rank of associate professor or higher. The
purpose and specific aims of the research
project must be consistent with the mission
of the NSCA.
YOUNG INVESTIGATOR GRANT
This grant program funds individuals
employed by non-profit research
organizations who are within seven years
from conferral of their doctorate degree.
