How a Bill Becomes a Law
SITUATION: IS THIS SOMETHING THAN CAN BE LEGISLATED? Identify the
problem/concern: Teens need more access to healthcare. Many teens face
barriers to preventative health care because of lack of support from parents,
homelessness, lack of insurance, and absence of transportation. In the recent
years abortions, teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, and
infanticide/ neonaticides have been on the rise. These are preventable if access to
healthcare and health education is accessible and brought directly to teens.
