Nr. 11 / 3 - 2022 YCC-Posten | Page 5

A summer is closing in. It gets noticeably darker in the evenings, and we look back on a summer with wonderful events, unity, and MC pleasure.

With our approximately 250 members, YCC has gathered members for several meetings and events. With so many members, there has been a lot of arrangements that our members have had the possibility to take part in. This has provided good material for this issue of YCC-Posten.

The biggest has been the International Meeting that we had at Hunderfossen. This has been planned for several years and was something that most of us had been looking forward to. It was a great experience to meet so many YCC members from all over the world. This was also the reason why the two previous issues of YCC-Posten had an English translation, a "Blue Zone". The issue you are holding in your hand now contains an article from the meeting itself and is therefore the last of the (planned) "Blue Zoned Issues". The ‘blue zones’ have therefore covered the time before, the meeting and after the international meeting.

It has been extra pleasant that our Mexican friend, Francisco Gallegos, showed up. He appreciated the Norwegian hospitality so much that he wrote a greeting in the magazine. A big thank you to him!

Among the great initiatives from the members, the ‘Tour de Tyrifjorden’ / AlexanderTreffet must also be highlighted. The Buskerud region's "The Virago Father" invited to a magnificent weekend also this year. It is always nice to meet up at Jørn Øverbys mansion, whether it is at a get-together or 'whenever it's convenient'. House room and heart room go in one.

In Norway, we always have a backup solution. The weather has always been, and always will be, an opponent that you can never trust for the next move. "What if" is a thought you always need to keep in your mind when planning events. This affected also this year's Club meeting. Many were probably skeptical of the weather and feared a "thunderstruck" that could blow even the toughest biker the road. But how reliable are such predictions? How did it go?

You can read about the answer to this and much more in this issue of YCC-Posten.

It is this unity that creates YCC and makes the club precisely the wonderful club we all value so much. Shared joy is double joy. Share your experiences. If you experience something, write a few words, and send some pictures to YCC-Posten. This will then be preserved for the members.

Have a time for the rest of the season. Be careful when it gets wet and slippery.

Remember that there are many great days of driving left.
