Kulisser setter et fint preg på en utstilling. Undertegnede likte derfor spesielt godt boardtrack motorsyklene. En boardtrack var en motorsykkelbane som var opp til 50 meter bred og opp til flere kilometer lang. Den var bygget med plankeunderlag. Det at planker ble glatte ved regnvær var ikke noe å legge vekt på. Det var andre faktorer som kunne gjøre løpet farligere. Hastigheten var høy, og på denne tiden var motorsyklene begrenset utstyrt. Noe av det viktigste utstyret var en oljepumpe som sørget for smøring av motoren. Et eventuelt overskudd av olje ble blåst ut på banen. Det var derfor ikke nødvendig med regnvær for å holde ulykkesstatistikken høy. Veien mot ‘nullvisjonen’ ble løst ved et forbud mot denne typen løp. Det virket.
