NMCU er hver
motorsykkelkjørende sin
fagforening.
NMCU er fast høringsinstans overfor myndighetene i spørsmål som vedrører motorsykkel. Det betyr at NMCU blir hørt og kan påvirke beslutninger som får konsekvenser for motorsyklistene.
NMCU overvåker og passer på da motorsyklister ofte blir glemt eller at man ikke har forstått at en sak faktisk kan ha konsekvens for motorsyklistene.
NMCU jobber aktivt med trafikksikkerhet i samarbeid med Samferdselsdepartementet, Vegdirektoratet, Statens veivesen, Vegtilsynet, UP, kjøreskolene og andre trafikkorganisasjoner som for eksempel Trygg Trafikk, NAF, NAF MC, Trafikksikkerhetsforeningen m.fl. NMCU arbeider for at motorsyklistene skal få adgang til god og rimelig kjøreopplæring og førerutviklingskurs slik at vi kjører sikrere.
NMCU med sine medlemmer, er også medlem i den europeiske paraplyorganisasjonen for motorsyklister, Federation of European Motorcyclists’ Associations (FEMA). FEMA representerer de enkelte lands interesseorganisasjoner inn mot EU – og som vi vet vil beslutninger for EU ofte få konsekvens for oss i Norge.
NMCU (Norwegian Motor Cyclist Union) is every motorcyclist’s trade union.
NMCU is a regular consultation partner with the authorities in matters relating to motorcycles. This means that views from NMCU is heard and they have influence in decisions that have consequences for motorcyclists.
NMCU monitors and watches in matters that as motorcyclists often are forgotten or it has not been understood that a case can actually have consequences for motorcyclists.
NMCU works actively with traffic safety in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, the Norwegian Road Directorate, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, the Norwegian Road Administration, Police, the driving schools and other traffic organizations such as Trygg Trafikk, NAF, NAF MC, Road Safety organizations among others. NMCU works to ensure that motorcyclists have access to good and affordable driving training and driver development courses so that we drive safer.
NMCU and its members are also members of the Federation of European Motorcyclists' Associations (FEMA). FEMA represents the individual countries' interest organizations towards the EU - and as we know, decisions for the EU will often have consequences for us in Norway.
