Det å tildele internasjonalt treff er også en av oppgavene som kommer fra det internasjonale fora. Det er hvert år et ‘International YCC Rally’. Det er dette vi i YCC-N har nå i år. Dette er det 25’te i rekken, selv om det egentlig er det 23’je. 2020, som skulle vært i Finland, ble jo corona-utsatt. Det 24’de skulle vært i England i 2021, men ble gitt til Finland. Igjen slo coronaen bena under treffet.
Det ble diskutert om Finland skulle fått 2022, men finnene fikk heller 2023. Det er jo positivt for oss i YCC-N. Det er over 70 deltagere fra Norge. Vi håper at så mange som mulig av disse blir såpass tent på internasjonalt treff at de blir med til Finland neste år.
Hvordan var det så at Norge ble tildelt treffet i 2022? Det var slik det er i alle politiske miljøer. Det var under det internasjonale treffet i Nederland at et medlem fra Finland, Pertti Rautio, spurte Ole-Marius Aspelund. Dette ble tatt opp i det norske styret og senere i det internasjonale komitemøtet. I 2018 fikk vi derfor tildelt treffet for 2022 offisielt.
Til slutt vil Ole-Marius Aspelund legge til at det er en stor ære å få sitte i styret for YCC-N. Når man arbeider for en så hyggelig klubb og for så mange hyggelige mennesker så gir det en ekstra giv. Han angrer absolutt ikke på at han svarte ‘Ja’ den gang valgkomiteen kom og spurte. Det har jo blitt noen år med styrearbeid, også.
Giving international meetings/rallies to national clubs is also one of the tasks that comes from the international forum. Every year there is an ‘International YCC Rally’. This is what we in YCC-N is having this year. This is the 25th in a row, even though it is actually the 23rd. 2020, which should have been in Finland, was exposed to corona. The 24th was supposed to be in England in 2021, but was given to Finland. Again the corona draw away the carpet under also this rally.
It was discussed whether Finland should get the 2022 Rally, but the Finns got 2023 instead. It is positive for us in YCC-N. There are over 70 participants from Norway. We hope that as many of these as possible will be so excited about international meetings that they will join Finland next year.
How did it happened that Norway was granted the meeting in 2022? It was the way it is in all political circles. It was during the international meeting in the Netherlands that a member from Finland, Pertti Rautio, asked Ole-Marius Aspelund. This was discussed in the Norwegian board and later in the international committee meeting. In 2018, we were therefore officially awarded the meeting for 2022.
Finally, Ole-Marius Aspelund would like to add that it is a great honor to sit on the board of YCC-N. When you work for such a nice club and for so many nice people, it gives you the extra power to offer your best. He certainly does not regret answering 'Yes' when the nomination committee came and asked. It has been a few years of work to the board.
