We have been developing a new corporate strategic plan that will chart the course of our organisation for the next five years. In a broader context, it is clear that the landscape for NRM is changing, and we need to continue being proactive so we can shape our future. To this end we have been working hard to diversify our funding streams and develop new fund ing opportunities. This includes working with Terrain NRM and environmental markets investor GreenCollar to develop a Reef Credits initiative, as well as exploring other environmental market opportunities. Scott Crawford At the time of writing, NQ Dry Tropics and Southern Gulf NRM were in merger talks that could result in a merged organisation delivering NRM across 20 per cent of the state.
