A TOTAL of $460,000 in Community
Landcare Grants was invested to support
52 projects, involving 2825 volunteers
and generating in-kind support valued at
nearly $600,000 .
Combined, these projects restored
448ha of native vegetation, removed
weeds from 510ha of bushland and
removed more than 8 tonnes of marine
debris across 390ha .
This work improved the health of
important habitats, including the Great
Barrier Reef.
NQ Dry Tropics staff provided practical,
promotional and technical support.
