Magnetic traffic lights help the teacher in non-verbal communication with children . By using the method of deferred attention , we give children a chance to work individually at their own pace . Only three colours are used to instruct the children .
• Red colur - independent work , time to think about a solution .
• Yellow colour – children who didn ’ t find a solution can ask their friends for help .
• Green colour – children who still didn ’ t find the solution can ask their teacher or a classmate for help .
• In most cases , children are able to solve the assigned tasks alone or with the help of a friend . It teaches them to rely on themselves , to think independently and they are motivated to find the best and simplest solutions .
