Contact Dentists – State Level When the legislature is in session, PDA’ s lobbyists, staff, and volunteer leaders are meeting with policymakers almost every day to promote dentistry’ s priorities. To be successful, we need members like you who are willing to be the trusted voice of dentistry in your community. There’ s no better time to get involved!
Contact Dentists are the direct link between PDA and state legislators. By developing relationships with lawmakers in your district, you help ensure dentistry has a strong presence in Harrisburg. Contact Dentists share PDA’ s perspective on dental issues a few times a year, represent PDA at campaign events, and encourage colleagues in their districts to stay engaged in grassroots advocacy.
Action Team Leaders & Team Members— National Level The ADA’ s Action Team Network connects dentists to members of Congress. As an Action Team Leader or Member, you are the go-to advocate in your district, keeping communication open with federal legislators, relaying ADA’ s positions, activating colleagues when national issues arise, and attending campaign events to represent the profession. Leaders are invited to attend the ADA’ s Dentist and Dental Student Lobby Day conference in Washington D. C., held annually in spring.
