ADVOCATES IN ACTION
Each year , members from across the state take time to advocate on behalf of the dental profession and patients . This year , our robust advocacy efforts stretched far and wide . From meeting with Pennsylvania ’ s Congressional delegation in Washington D . C ., to attending fundraisers , to making phone calls and scheduling meetings during Legislative Checkup Week this fall , dentists made their presence known with federal and state lawmakers .
PDA was proud to have one of the largest representations at ADA Dentist and Student Lobby Day from April 7-9 in Washington , D . C . We had 15 member dentists and 39 dental students advocating for key issues , including the Dental and Optometric Care ( DOC ) Access Act , Student Loan Reform and Oral Health Workforce issues . Thanks to all who took part !
