HOUSING SUMMIT
The annual CAA Housing Summit was held in late September with the goal of connecting policymakers with industry professionals to provide them with the opportunity to see eye to eye on issues affecting the housing market in Colorado .
The Summit featured several legislators and guest speakers including Kit Baker- Carr of Entryway , a program that is expanding its efforts to assist those experiencing homelessness by providing them with a career in the multifamily industry with the support of resources , training , and housing into Denver .
Additional presentations included economist John Early , who led a thorough
statistics-based exploration of Financial Inequality . Tom Wolf , of the Pacific Alliance for Prevention and Recovery , advocated for balanced solutions that blends accountability and a public health approach for homelessness and drug issues .
Teo Nicolais , Scott Rathbun , and Terrance Hunt rounded out the lineup with presentations discussing current housing policies and the state of the multifamily market in Denver .
The Summit also included panel discussions with Bruce Eisenhauer and Alison George from DOLA , Senator Kyle Mullica , Senator Paul
Lundeen , Representative Kyle Brown , Representative Lisa Frizell , Representative Rose Pugliese , Representative Marc Snyder , and Representative Don Wilson .
