reer , and giving him a market for his large-scale paintings . “ I haven ’ t been caught up since 2005 ,” he said ruefully , and yet somehow , in spite of fears that he wouldn ’ t be able to keep up with demand , the demand continues and so does his inspiration . A few years ago , this gallery moved and Jeremy was picked up by the Santa Fe Trails Fine Art Gallery , where he continues to thrive .
“ If you find the right place , the right person to represent you , you better be prepared because it doesn ’ t gradually change : it ’ s overnight .”
As important as this was to his career , Jeremy wasn ’ t expecting what followed . After a short stint living in Santa Fe in 2005 , Jeremy and his wife moved back to Tennessee , to the city of Townsend and all the rugged beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains , and in 2006 he found himself sought after by a local store , the Dogwood Mall , five minutes down the road from his house . It wasn ’ t a traditional gallery but more of a craft store , and Jeremy was skeptical that it was worth his time , as busy as he was with the Santa Fe gallery . “ I looked at the owner and said , ‘ Well , I ’ ve got a few extra paintings . We can stick them in here and see what happens .’ The next morning , the owner called me : ‘ I need you to come down here — there ’ s some people who want you to sign the back of the painting !’ So , he sold that painting and I had to go to storage to find another painting to display , and by that afternoon he sold that one . Fast-forward , and he sold eighteen paintings in a month and a half ! I didn ’ t know how to keep up with that .”
“ You ’ ve got to choose somebody who absolutely loves your work . I don ’ t care where it ’ s at . It doesn ’ t have to be in Santa Fe , and it sure doesn ’ t have to be in New York . When I went with him , he loved the work . The excitement is contagious , and can turn
