PDA CONTACT DENTISTS
Contact dentists act as liaisons between PDA and state legislators by developing and maintaining a personal relationship with legislators in your district . As a contact dentist , PDA will ask you to reach out to your senator and representative a few times each year to relay dentistry ’ s position on legislation . We may ask you to attend a fundraiser or deliver a PADPAC check , should PDA decide to financially support your legislator ( s ). We also encourage contact dentists to act as a source of information and promote participation in the grassroots network to other dentists in your area .
ADA ACTION TEAM LEADERS
ADA established a grassroots program that enables members to effectively communicate with members of the United States Congress . The ADA Action Team Network consists of team leaders who are expected to develop and maintain relationships with federal lawmakers . As an ATL , you may also be asked to :
• Respond to ADA ’ s action alerts on federal legislative issues .
• Attend campaign fundraisers on ADA ’ s behalf or deliver an ADPAC check to your legislator .
• Attend the ADA ’ s annual Dentist and Student Lobby Day conference in the spring ( recommended but not required ).
Calling constituents of Rep . Brian Fitzpatrick — we need you to sign up to serve as an ATL ! We also need at least one member to serve as the ATL for Senator-Elect John Fetterman .
We only have these two ATL vacancies currently , but all members are welcome to serve as part of a team and assist the ATL by also reaching out to Congressional members when an issue arises .
