◆ FIRST INDUSTRY JOB ?

I was a part-time leasing agent for a company based in La Costa , California . It was a small owner ; to be honest , I don ’ t remember the name of the company any more !

◆ PIVOTAL MOMENT IN YOUR CAREER ?

When I was encouraged to apply for the Regional Marketing & Training position with Camden Property Trust . That changed the direction of my career in Multifamily . While I had been onsite throughout my career as a Leasing Consultant , Assistant Manager , and Manager , I found my passion was in marketing and training .

◆ MOST IMPACTFUL PERSON IN YOUR CAREER ?

There have been several all along my career path . I ’ ve been grateful to work with some of the best in the industry , including Lynn McCarty , Terry Fritz , and Carol Levey .

◆ TV SHOW BEST DESCRIBES YOUR MANAGEMENT STYLE ?

Although it may not be “ binge-worthy ,” I feel Olivia Pope of Scandal is a great example of a servant leader . My management style is to always look out for the best interest of my team . My leadership style has always been about collaboration and surrounding myself with people who I trust to make decisions and get the job done . A leader doesn ’ t have to be the star of the show to shine !

◆ FAVORITE TEAM-BUILDING ACTIVITY ?

I always enjoy team-building activities that include some sort of physical activity . A scavenger hunt , bowling , an escape room , and activities that add an element of fun and learning combined .

◆ YOUR IDEAL LONG WEEKEND ?

A nice relaxing trip to the beach that includes great food , wine , and friends . Nothing soothes my soul more than the sound of the ocean . If I were in charge , every weekend would be a long one !
