New Self-Study CE Course - Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting for Dental Professionals - Complimentary for PDA Members
PDA ’ s program , Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting for Dental Professionals , satisfies the Act 31 CE requirement and is now available online as a self-study course . The course is complimentary for PDA members and $ 25 for non-dentist team members .
Visit www . padental . org / onlinece to register for this course and other self-study courses . Other self-study courses that are complimentary for member dentists include :
• HIPAA Compliance for Dental Teams , 1 CE credit
• Principles of Infection Prevention and Control for Dentistry , 1 CE credit
• OSHADontics-Work Place Safety for Dental Offices , 1 CE credit

Non-dentist team members will need their own record in PDA ’ s database before they can register and complete PDA ’ s online CE . Contact Rebecca at rvn @ padental . org with the name , mailing address and unique email address for each dental team member interested in completing PDA ’ s online CE courses .
To register for any of PDA ’ s online , self-study CE courses , go to www . padental . org and sign in to the website with your user id and password .
Your user id is your first initial , your last name and 4-digit year of birth with no spaces or punctuation . Or , for some members their user id is their email address . Unless you ’ ve changed it , your website password is lowercase letters ada and your membership number ( no spaces or punctuation ).
Go to the Events tab and click Event Calendar . Click the Prerecorded Events tab and click on the course you wish to attend and review the instructions to complete the transaction .
When you are ready to watch the online CE course , go to www . padental . org / onlinece . Click the small Online CE button above the list of courses ; Sign in with your user id and password ;
Click Go To My Learning Center and launch the course . If the course does not play or you receive a null / void error message , copy the URL of the web page https :// learn . padental . org / topclass / and add it as an allowed site under pop-up blockers so your computer will no longer block the pop-up window with the course . Generally , you can find the pop-up blocker under privacy or security settings . Google instructions for the web browser you use to guide you through the process .
Upon successful completion of the quiz , the system will generate a verification of participation form . To find the certificate , close the window giving you the results of the quiz . In your Learning Center , click the word Completed ( highlighted below ) to view the list of courses you have completed . The View Certificate button is to the right of the course title . You can view the certificate , download a copy to print or save to your computer .
If closing the window exits the program completely , go to www . padental . org / onlinece and click the Online CE button above the list of courses ; sign in and click the button Go To My Learning Center and click the word Completed to find the list of courses that you have completed .
