Did you always know you wanted to be a dentist when you were younger ? If not , what did you want to be when you grew up ? No . I wanted to be an Air Force fighter pilot when in high school .
What motivated you to pursue a career in organized dentistry ? I like being part of a larger group working for good .
When and where did you attend dental school ? University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine .
Where do you currently practice ? Warren in Northwest Pennsylvania .
What do you believe is the most challenging issue facing dentistry as a profession ? A shortage of dental team applicants .
What do you believe is the most challenging issue facing organized dentistry ? Getting people to understand that dentistry and dental practice is much improved by organized dentistry , and also making dental meetings for the team convenient and relative .
Dr . Rockwell ’ s personal story
Dr . Rockwell grew up in West Brownsville in Southwest Pennsylvania . He has four siblings , Jim , Kathy , Larry and Nancy . Rockwell has a girlfriend , Julie , and enjoys bicycling and skiing . He also used to enjoy the Air National Guard , from which he retired in June of this year , and is now looking forward to a new hobby .
Name some fun / interesting things about yourself that others would be surprised to learn . I was in the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard . I deployed to Iraq on a Marine base with the Army National Guard . I have been to Paraguay and Hawaii multiple times and to Kenya with the Air National Guard .
Who was your greatest role model ? President Kennedy , my dad , and my older brother Jim .
What famous person would you most like to spend a day with ? President Trump .
Dr . Rockwell said , “ I enjoy dental practice very much . I have practiced in Bradford General Hospital , Warren General Hospital and Titusville Area Hospital . I am currently in Solo Practice in North Warren and one day a week in the Titusville Area Hospital .”
